# Pitlane

> The customer-facing operating system for independent auto repair shops. Pitlane writes the repair order with AI-suggested lines, authorizes extra work by text, takes payment on the same screen, then runs the reviews, win-backs, and reminders that turn a first visit into a regular. All automatic.

Pitlane is operated by Auto Shift Media LLC (Ohio, USA). Every customer is linked to their vehicle and full service history. A job moves through one tool end to end: a two-way SMS inbox on the shop's own local number, native repair-order writing (per-line techs, clock-in/out, parts cost and margin, AI-suggested lines), a phone-first tech Bay view, mid-job text authorization with finger signature, and card payment on the closed RO. Shops connect their own Stripe account and keep 100% of card revenue; Pitlane takes no payment fee. After the job, Pitlane sends a review request with the shop's Google link to every customer, and runs win-back campaigns at 90/120/180 days. PitCrew AI writes the morning briefing, review replies, and declined-work recovery. Pitlane runs alongside existing shop management systems like Mitchell1, Tekmetric, Shopmonkey, or Shopware, and increasingly stands on its own.
