Give a tech a bay PIN for the shared tablet
Set a short PIN so a mechanic can clock in and work the Bay view from a shared shop tablet without typing a full email and password every time.
Most shops run one tablet on the floor that every tech shares. A bay PIN lets a mechanic get into their Bay view fast, without a full sign-in each time.
- Open Settings then Team.
- Find the teammate's row. Each member can have a bay PIN set.
- Set their PIN. Enter a short numeric PIN for that tech and save. The row shows they have one.
- They use it on the floor tablet. The tech taps in with their PIN to open the Bay, clock in to a line, and get to work.
Good to know
- The bay PIN is for the shared-tablet, quick-clock-in flow. It's not a replacement for their full account, which they still use to sign in on their own device.
- You can clear a teammate's PIN from the same row any time, for instance when someone leaves.
- Bay PINs pair with the mechanic view, which is the bay-focused cockpit a tech lands in.
