Invite a teammate to your shop
Invite a service writer, tech, or office manager. You pick what they can administer and which view of the app they see. They get a link, set a password, and join.
Bring your crew onto Pitlane so the whole shop is looking at the same jobs.
- Open Settings then Team. You'll see who's already on the team and any open invites, each with a role badge.
- Enter their email and pick their Role and View. These are two separate settings, covered right below.
- Send the invite. Pitlane emails them a link. They click it, set a password, and land in your shop with the role and view you picked.
The two settings you pick
- Role (governance): Member or Admin. Admin can invite teammates and change shop settings. Member can't. The Owner role is reserved for the account creator.
- View (what the app looks like): Owner view, Front desk view, or Mechanic view. This sets which screens they land on and can open. More on the three views.
You can change it later
Roles aren't contracts. Change a teammate's role or view any time from the same page. Promote the front-desk person to Admin the week they earn it.
