Add a teammate to your shop
Add a service writer or tech in about thirty seconds. You pick what they see, Pitlane creates the account and emails them a sign-in link. No shared logins.
Add your crew so the whole shop looks at the same jobs, each person with their own login.
- Open Settings, then Team. You'll see who's on the team and what each person can reach.
- Type their name and email, then pick what they see. Two choices: Front desk runs the counter (texts, estimates, jobs, revenue stays hidden) or Technician gets the bay (their jobs, their clock). One tap explains each right on the card.
- Hit Send sign-in email. That's it. Pitlane creates their account on the spot and emails them a link to set their own password. No invite to accept, no shared logins. Until they sign in for the first time, their row shows "Hasn't signed in."
Managing the roster
Only the owner manages the team. On any teammate's row you can:
- Change their role. Flip a front desk person to tech or back as the job changes.
- Resend the sign-in email. If it got buried, one tap sends a fresh link.
- Remove them. They lose access immediately. If a tech is still clocked in to a job, or has parts history on the books, Pitlane tells you what's holding it up instead of deleting work records.
Seats
Everyone who works at the shop can have a login. There is no per-seat charge on top of the plan, so the Team page is just your roster.
The same team you set up here signs in on the Pitlane mobile app with the same view. Set it once, it works both places.
