Set up service and mileage reminders

Reminders keep customers on their maintenance schedule without you keeping a spreadsheet of who's due.

Interval reminders

Service-interval reminders (like oil changes) seed from the mileage and work on the repair order. Once a job records the mileage, Pitlane knows roughly when that vehicle is due again and can remind the customer. This runs on Growth and up.

Editable templates

Pitlane ships eight starter templates: pre-winter, pre-summer, and back-to-school seasonal checks, an oil-change reminder, a tire-rotation reminder, a 90-day win-back, a review request, and a holiday special.

1. Open Settings then Message templates.
2. Click any template body to edit it. Change the greeting, the sign-off, anything that doesn't sound like your shop.
3. Variables like {{firstName}}, {{shopName}}, {{vehicleYear}}, {{vehicleMake}}, and {{vehicleModel}} fill in per customer when the message goes out.
4. Click + New template to add your own. Anything you'd send by hand can be a template.

Skip the coupon

The reminders that work read like a care note from the shop that knows the car, not a discount blast. Lead with the service and the specific vehicle. A coupon in every reminder just trains customers to wait for the next one.
