Assign lines to a tech and track time
Put each repair line on a specific tech and clock the time against it. You see who did what and how long it took, right on the repair order. On Growth and up.
Repair-order writing on Growth and up carries per-line tech assignment and clock time, so a job records who did the work and how long it took.
- Assign the line. Each line on the RO has a Tech picker. Put the line on whoever's doing it. Your own name shows as "(Me)".
- The tech clocks in. From their Bay work-card, the tech clocks in and out on that line. Real time lands against real work, not an estimate.
- Read it on the RO. The assigned tech and the clocked time sit right on the line, so labor is grounded in what happened.
This is what turns a flat rate into a number you can check. On a solo shop, every line is just you, and the picker still shows your name so nothing looks empty.
